healthfinder.gov — healthfinder® is a free guide to reliable consumer health information, developed by the Department of Health and Human Services and other Federal agencies. This site links to carefully selected information and websites from over 1,500 health-related organizations, includes many online checkups, and offers daily health news in English and Spanish.

womenshealth.gov — The National Women’s Health Information Center (NWHIC) is a service of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health. The NWHIC website provides a gateway to women’s health information resources developed by the Department of Health and Human Services, other Federal agencies, and private sector resources and covers over 800 topics.

USDA Nutrient Database — The U.S. Department of Agriculture”s Nutrient Data Laboratory maintains a comprehensive database on the nutrient content of thousands of food items for scientists, healthcare professionals, policy makers, and the general public. Visitors can search by specific food item (apple, hamburger, etc.) or by individual nutrient (calcium, niacin, etc.) for a printable list of nutrient contents or foods containing the highest amount of a single nutrient.
